communic8 has a legal requirement to add unsubscribe links to commercial electronic messages. Unsubscribe links are automatically placed in every email footer and available in every SMS.

All email footers will have "If you don't want to receive these emails from {communic8 client instance} in the future, please unsubscribe.". Upon ticking the unsubscribe link a user will be prompted to manage their contact preferences, which they can choose to turn off their contact via email or log a support ticket to deactivate their account all together.

All SMS will have "Click here to view more or unsubscribe:" Upon loading the communication there is an 'unsubscribe' button at the bottom. From here the user will be prompted to manage their contact preferences, which they can choose to turn off their contact via sms or log a support ticket to deactivate their account all together.

Points to Note:

  • Each client instance has the ability to turn off the unsubscribe feature (remove the unsubscribe links from email and SMS). This can be done when strictly using communic8 for an internal use. By turning off the unsubscribe links you accept legal liability if your instance is used to send commerical electronic messages.
