The Communic8 team have been busily working on the latest code release, which went live on Saturday, 25th September 2021. Here are the highlights:

We've added the option to control the sizing of background images in the Editor. Now you can set the background image to cover the subsection, be contained to the subsection, or manually set a percentage.

Previously, since a template can't be published if it contains empty sections, you would have needed to manually remove all your empty subsections before publishing again. We've made this process easier so that now, if there's empty subsections when you try to publish, you have the option of automatically deleting all empty subsections with the push of a button and continuing with your publish.

In release 7.6, we brought you customisation of padding and margin settings on subsections. In this release 7.7, we've improved on this so you can now separately change the padding and margin for individual columns in multi-column subsections.

We've built on our existing feature of customising backgrounds for subsections. Now, in multi-column subsections, you can add a background color and border-radius for each individual column, customising the color and border-radius separately.

We've made it easier for you to build responsive templates across desktop and mobile. Now instead of just using one background image for all devices, you can set desktop background images and mobile background images separately!

When you close, archive, or delete a communication it prevents any recipients from seeing that communication. Previously recipients who tried accessing these communications would be presented with a plain-text page explaining the link was no longer valid. We've kept this message, but have made this page easier on the eyes and added more helpful information and support links.

We've made a heap of small improvements to the UI of our new Recipient Hub. We've also added a new side menu on mobile, with helpful links, and have added the ability to view full-size profile photos when viewing your profile.

If a console user had clicked a link while not logged in, they would be redirected to the console login page, but would end up on the dashboard after logging in. We've fixed this so that users are redirected back to the link they originally tried accessing.
